Every time we meditate, we feel so much relaxed. We feel so much detached. Detachment that does not create void. World exists. But does not disturb us. We feel more connected to our body and our Self.

This is a very nice state to be in. This is away from chaos. This is soothing. This is rejuvenating. This is the moment. Past and future vanish into the vitality of present. Words subside into experiences.

Life becomes enjoyable. Worries cease to exist. The moment spreads its beauty and we witness the same. The state of calm. A state free from hurry. A state of creativity. A state of purity.

Let us all strive for this state as eternal. Verily this is the pleasure we all aspire for. A state of being. Just being with our true existence.

What is The Reality?

Initially, I thought to start with an introduction. And for me, introduction means answering the big question of ‘Who am I?’. While I was halfway through the post, I realized that the way I was thinking may seem strange to you, so I started thinking of what should I write to make my next post more comprehensible. How to Investigate the Reality?

Now that we have seen, what is the reality, the difference between perception and reality and the faulty nature of our senses, the most obvious question that comes up is – If our senses are faulty, how do we investigate the reality? We already had discussed the notion of using our intellect in brief in the previous discussion, let’s now look at it in a bit detailed manner.

Ancient Indian Philosophers called Rishis claimed that there are three main ways to prove if something is true. First one of it is direct perception. So, if you see something written here yourself you don’t need anyone else’s confirmation on the same. This is direct perception or Pratyaksha Pramana. Second is Inference. There are certain things that we already know. When we try to know something by comparing or relating it to something that we already know, then that method is called proving by inference. What is The Need of Spirituality?

Someone asked me, “Why is it needed to think of all these things? Why should we bother about spirituality, soul, god and such stuff?” Today, let us try to understand the answer of this question. As I believe, many of you must have this question in your minds.

There are reasons that force us to think, explore, investigate and acquire knowledge. One is our capable brain. It will not settle down with anything less than what it already knows it is capable of. Another is our ignorance.

When I say we are ignorant, I see people with raised brows. But, it is the reality. Whatever we think we know, most of it has come from some reference and some of the things are so widely accepted that they do not seem questionable at all. But, the simple matter of fact is that we hardly ever try to find out something with our own direct experience. I cannot think of a question simpler at same time profound than “Who am I?”.
