Meditation, A to Z Again

Out of numerous spiritual practices namely celibacy, renunciation etc., meditation due to its simplicity and health related benefits, has always been a topic of discussion even among non-spiritualists. Let’s dive into the depths of it with a rational approach for its significance and its benefits. Meditation as generally explained in dictionaries means brooding and deep thinking. But meditation is completely different from it. Instead of continuous thinking of a certain subject, meditation comprises of observing the subject only. Meditation is a continued state of concentration of mental rays on a particular subject. So, for proper meditation one must develop enough and prolonged concentration. But this doesn’t mean that those who do not have good concentration cannot attempt meditation. They too can meditate by continued practice.
